HAITI 2009 IN DETAIL ...
Fellowship members began planning for the Jan. 31 to Feb. 14, 2009, trip to Gonaives in March 2008. The CMF Board presented an overview of the Gonaives trip to Fellowship members, who approved the proposal by majority vote.

A total of 18 members will be traveling to Haiti.
Each member assumes the responsibility of paying the cost of his or her airline travel, transportation in country, and food, which allows all funds raised by the group to be designated for project work.

PROJECT
Building on the work of previous missionary groups, CMF members will be adding a 42'x106' roof to the church in two phases. The first phase will be comprised of fabricating steel trusses, and the second phase installing the trusses, sheeting and finishing the roof.

FUNDING
As explained in the Project Notes at left, the original estimate for completing the roof was $20,000; however, after two, separate hurricanes devastated the region, the project cost increased by approximately 27 percent to $27,000.

CURRENT FUNDING LEVEL ... As of Jan. 20, 2008, the group has raised approximately $30,000 toward the project.
