A northwestern Haiti coastal town, Gonaïves is the country's third most populous city with approximately 300,000 residents. The city is also known as "independence city."

Saint-Marc is a coastal, port town in western Haiti. It is currently the preferred port of entry for consumer goods due to its location. More specifically, it is away from the volatility and congestion of Port-au-Prince and is situated close to six of Haiti's eight million residents.
