- We are preparing to mail out our very first newsletter!!!  Instead of mailing/posting meeting minutes, we will be sending out a newsletter via e-mail and snail mail.  We are very excited about this as it will save us on postage costs as well as help us communicate more effectively with our supporters.  If you would like to get on the e-mail or mailing list for the newsletter, contact our secretary, Nancy Moore.  OCTOBER 2013 MEETING MINUTES

October 8, 2013 @ Peebles Church of Christ

MEETING BROUGHT TO ORDER - President, John Hendrix

OPENING PRAYER – Ronnie Anderson

SCRIPTURE READING – Carol Thatcher shared how in Luke 10 it tells there is only one thing worth being concerned about in life. It is the story of Jesus coming to visit with Mary and Martha. The ladies discover they each have different ideas about what is important for them to be doing while Jesus is there in their home. One was interested in serving a meal to Jesus one was interested in being with and listening to Jesus.  If we are with Jesus first, our service will be much more meaningful later.

The CMF had been working physically feeding people at the Draft Horse Days Fundraiser this last week. But more than that we were spiritually feeding souls through our witnessing about our trips to Haiti and being missionary workers for the Lord and leading Sunday church services with: song service, communion, and meditation time open to anyone who wants to attend.  With Jesus in us, others see Jesus’ love through us.

ROLL CALL:  John and Melissa Hendrix, Joe and Nancy Moore, Sue Eldridge, Lloyd Dunn, Cheryl Jennings, Denny Anspach, Mark and Lisa StClair, Ronnie Anderson, Clarine Tracy, Scott and Nancy May, Mike Layman, Bill Kohus, Donna Young, Rodney Hoskins, Dennis Forsythe, Renee and Caleb McDowell, Hannum Taylor, and Carol Thatcher

SECRETARY'S REPORT:  The September report was read by Carol Thatcher, Secretary.  Lloyd Dunn made a motion to accept the report as read.  Lisa StClair seconded the motion, all approved and motion was carried.

TREASURER'S REPORT:  Steve Johnson was not present but his report was read by John Hendrix, President.  With the additional monies taken in at the 5K race and the Draft Horse Days fundraisers, the current 2014 Building Fund Project balance is approximately down to $4,000 to complete the buildings at Achin and Ennery.

Again if any one would like to see the complete financial accounts for the CMF feel free to contact us and we will be glad to open them up to you.  We are doing our best in being accountable with all things given to us wither it be spiritual, financial, or goods.  We have been so richly blessed by our fellow mankind and our Lord and Savior continues to open doors and sends us the contacts we need to do his good work.

ClarineTracy made a motion to accept the treasures report, Mark StClair seconded the motion, all approved and the motions carried.

OLD AND UNFINISHED BUSINESS:

Presentations:

December 1, 2013—Mowrystown Church of Christ 10:30 a.m. during worship time (Sunday School is at 9:30, all are welcome to attend)

Fundraiser:

·        5K Run/Walk Race went well.  A big “THANK YOU” to all who helped make it a great success again this year.

·        Draft Horse Field Days also went well.  It did not rain at the event site enough to stop the events at any time, even though it rained hard near Fawcett.

Bus:

·        More delays in getting the bus ready to be shipped. Lloyd Dunn has made contact with different persons about different possibilities of getting the bus and its contents to port and shipped to Haiti. There are more decisions to be made before it can be done. Keep praying that God will help us see his plan and we will do our part and accept his time frame.

Trip:

·        John Hendrix shared trip information

·        There are still openings for workers if someone is interested

·        John Hendrix must have your passport information and your ticket monies by the end of the month.  Your ticket information and your passport must match!  Call John at home (937)544-2443 or cell (937)232-6095

·        Monies can be mailed to Steve Johnson at 627 Paint Road, Winchester, Ohio 45697. The $300 in-country monies can be paid later but before the end of the year.

There had been discussion two months ago about Reggie Thomas with White Fields Overseas Evangelism contacting CMF about building the Primitive Church where John Bennito preaches in Gonaives, Haiti.  CMF had made the decision we would consider it but it would be on a list of projects and could not be done now.  Reggie has now sent word White Fields does not have the funds to purchase the property for the building to be built on at this time.  CMF does not buy land so that is the end of our involvement in this project at this time.

ADJOURNMENT:  Clarine Tracy made a motion to adjourn the meeting, Mark St.Clair seconded it, all approved and motion was carried.

 SEPTEMBER 2013 MEETING MINUTES

September 10th @ Union Church of Christ

MEETING BROUGHT TO ORDER - President, John Hendrix

OPENING PRAYER – Bill Kohus

SCRIPTURE READING – Bill Kohus read in Nehemiah and then Romans 14:12. In Nehemiah God instructs the people through Nehemiah, it is never too late to rebuild the wall and get busy doing the LORD’s work.  In Romans it says, every one of us shall give account of himself to God.  The CMF puts our love for our Lord into action by building church buildings for our fellow brothers, in turn our fellow brothers in Christ see how worthy of love they are in the sight of our LORD.

ROLL CALL:  John and Kathy Waits, John Hendrix, Joe and Nancy Moore, Sue Eldridge, Steve and Sue Johnson, Lloyd Dunn, Cheryl Jennings, Denny Anspach, Mark and Lisa StClair, Mike Pam Layman, Ronnie Anderson, Terry and Marilyn Parker, Jason Moore, Fred and Clarine Tracy and Carol Thatcher

Fred Tracy made a motion to accept the treasures report, Mark StClair seconded the motion, all approved and the motions carried.

OLD AND UNFINISHED BUSINESS:

Fundraiser:

·        5K Run/Walk Race was discussed.   The jobs and a list of items needed brought such as tables, chairs, ice…..was discussed.  Thank you to Terry and Marilyn Parker for ordering all the supplies and heading up the race, Bob and Sharon Malcom for graciously giving us a place to hold the race, Denny Anspach for working so hard and gathering most of the $100 supporters, Steve Johnson for ordering the race t-shirts, and Joe and Nancy Moore for working with Kroger in getting the bananas and bottled water donated.  This event like others takes many hands behind the scene to get it done.

Enclosed is a list of churches and the food items they have donated in the past.  Please check the list for your church and if you need to have it changed call (937)386-2444.

It will take every one volunteering time working to get through this event. There is a job opening for a helper to fry the pork loin.  Connie Lykins has been the official loin fryer, but she will not be there.  Her Husband Ed, will be having back surgery on September 24th.  John and Kathy Waits, other faithful workers, may not be able to be with us due to John going through treatment for bladder cancer.   Keep them in your prayers.

Bus:

·        There has been a delay in getting the bus ready to be taped and ready to be painted. Now the paint shop is not available for our use for a while.

·        There is $9,300 in the bus fund at this time.  It may cost more than this to get the bus to Gonaives, Haiti, and through port customs and pay the fees.  In the very beginning CMF set aside a $7,000 fund for misc. use.   It is used for taxes, tax preparation, monthly postage, to purchase needed supplies for presentations, and other misc. items.  This is the fund the bus monies will be taken out of if needed not the building fund account.

NEW BUSINESS:

John Hendrix has been contacted by Reggie Thomas of White Fields Overseas Evangelism in reference to CMF committing to build a church building for one of the ministers there in Gonaives, Haiti.  White Fields has monies to buy the property beside the existing church and the land is for sale at this time.  White Fields can not pay for building the building, that is where they want CMF to step in and committee to the building project of the Primitive Church.

CMF had already committed to building projects for at least the next 2 years.  Without seeing the worksite or knowing anything about the existing build and layout of the property it is hard to make a wise decision.  After group discussion John Hendrix relayed back to Reggie when the work team will be in Haiti in January they will check out the property.  The soonest the CMF could even consider beginning would be 2016 to start the ground work, the building could not be wider than 40 foot, it would have to be within our yearly budget, and we would have to have the monies before we would start the project.

Cheryl Jennings shared with our group about news she has read in the latest White Field’s Newsletter.  Mark StClair had the newsletter from Reggie Thomas with him at the meeting.  There had been a special church service at Achin and there were 3 baptisms.  Isn’t that awesome! Just think what the Lord will do in this building in the years to come when he isn’t even waiting for the CMF to come and put the roof on.  The CMF work team is so looking forward to returning to Achin in January and worshiping with the church family

ADJOURNMENT:  Fred Tracy made a motion to adjourn the meeting, Mark St.Clair seconded it, all approved and motion was carried.

CLOSING PRAYER:  John Hendrix

                                                             Secretary Report by Carol Thatcher

 AUGUST 2013 MEETING MINUTES

August 13, 2013 – Scott and Nancy Mays Home

MEETING BROUGHT TO ORDER - President, John Hendrix

OPENING PRAYER – John Hendrix

SCRIPTURE READING – Nancy Mays read from the book of Haggai.  In chapters I and 2 it tells us how Haggai was given messages from the LORD for the people.  They were to get busy building the temple to worship the LORD in.  The LORD explained how he had been withholding blessings from them and how life would be so much better if they would build the temple and get back to worshipping Him like they should. They were promised they would be blessed more abundantly than they could ever imagine if they would build the temple and worship GOD.

We experience first hand how building a church building in a community in Haiti changes the people in the community.  We see and hear the joy of the Lord flow more freely each time we return.

SECRETARY'S REPORT:  The July report, written by Lisa StClair, was read by Carol Thatcher. There was clarification made by John Hendrix that the trip cost stated was only the cost of the airline ticket and did not include the $300 in-country cost or the costs of the immunizations needed.  Cheryl Jennings made a motion to accept the report as discussed.  Donna Young seconded the motion.  All approved and motion was carried.

TREASURER'S REPORT:  Steve Johnson reported the current 2014 Project balance will stay approximately $14,000 to complete the buildings at Achin and Ennery due to the new information John Hendreix has received from Sainsurin this past week.

Scott and Nancy Mays and John Hendrix drove to North Carolina to visit with Sainsutin and Mary at their daughter’s home.  The church buildings at Achin and Ennery, Haiti, were discussed and what it will take to finish construction on them to the point they are ready for the CMF work team to put the roof on in January.  There has been extra supplies and labor needed to complete the building up to the roof line. Sainsurin had an itemized bill of the items to finish both churches; the total coat was $5,100.

Scott Mays made a motion to send the $5,100 to Saunsurin for the building supplies so the church buildings will be ready for the roof when the CMF work team gets there.  Jim Tutt seconded the motion. Vote taken, it passed.

Jim Tutt made a motion to accept the treasures report, Cheryl Jennings seconded the motion, all approved and the motions carried.

(2) Communion set to be used in Haiti.  Many of the churches do not have enough or none for their services.  If you have any sets you are not using and would be willing to share, please do so.

 MAY 2013 MEETING MINUTES

May 14, 2013 – West Union Church of Christ

MEETING LEAD BY:  John Hendrix

OPENING PRAYER: by Jason Moore

SCRIPTURE READING:  John Hendrix read Deuteronomy 11:18-21

ROLL CALL:   Mark and Lisa St.Clair, John and Kathy Waits, Bill Kohus, John and Melissa Hendrix, Joe Moore, Cheryl Jennings, Sue Eldridge, Steve and Sue Johnson, Dennis Forsythe, Jason Moore, Nancy Mays, Lloyd Dunn, Steve Bauer, Ed Lykins, Ronnie Anderson, Denny Anspach, Carol Thatcher,

SECRETARY REPORT:  The April report was read by Steve Johnson. Lloyd Dunn made a motion to accept the report as read.  Lisa St.Clair seconded the motion.  A vote was taken and it carried.

TREASURE REPORT:  Steve Johnson reported the current Building Fund balance.

Approximately $24,000 is still needed to complete the buildings at Achin and Ennery, the planned 2014 work project.

The best guess on what finances are still needed for the two building sites are:  Achin church building will cost another $3,500 to complete the roof and the cost of the Haitian labor, and Ennery church building will cost another $10,000 for the Haitian labor to complete the walls and the cost of the roof and its labor.  The Ennery building walls are being built by Haitian laborers and should be completed by the time the CMF work team arrives on site in January 2014.  Achin building site should also be ready for the CMF workers to install trusses and add pearling and tin roofing.  Nancy Mays made a motion to accept the report as given and Ronnie Anderson seconded the motion.  A vote was taken and it carried

OLD AND UNFINISHED BUSINESS:  Ronnie Anderson reported the cost of the tires and replacement parts for the bus was $4,129.02. There will be another $200 left to purchase to finish the needed upgrades on the bus. The bus fund has $7,438 in it. This leaves $3,000.  It may take as much as $7,000 more to cover the cost of transporting the bus to Miami, FL, shipping cost to the port in Gonaives, Haiti, and the port fees levied when it arrives.

The yearly Yard Sale near Sardinia, Ohio, will again be chaired by Nancy Mays.  It will be June 6, 7, and 8 this year. Items will need to be transported to the site on Wednesday evening to organize items and get things set up for the sale beginning on Thursday. It will take many hands to accomplish this fundraiser.

There will be a home made quilt given away at this fundraiser.  For every $20 purchased a ticket for a drawing on a home made quilt will be given out.  The winner will be notified Saturday following the closing of the sale.

The Draft Horse Days on October 4, 5, and 6, is being planned. Jason Moore will be the speaker for church services on Sunday, Steve Johnson will take care of communion, Carol Thatcher will see the food items needed is provided, and John Hendrix will set up a work schedule for volunteers.  This just leaves the music slot to be filled.

2014 trip dates and airline tickets were discussed.  If you or you know of anyone who is planning to go on the 2014 work trip let John Hendrix know.  There will be a list made and tickets will need to be reserved soon through Becky Luka.  The sooner this is done the cheaper the trip will be.

NEW BUSINESS:  The display board was discussed. Table space is not always available to accommodate the large board being used now.  Melissa Hendrix has found a more user friendly board.  She had a copy of a picture of it and the information needed to order it if it was what the group wanted.  Ed Lykins made a motion to purchase the smaller board at the cost of $102 plus the cost of shipping and handling.  Sue Johnson seconded the motion. A vote was taken and it was accepted by all.

The CMF has a need for 8 sections of 6 foot scaffolding on casters to be used on the work sites.  When the sections become available, they will need to be shipped to Haiti in the bus when it goes.  The scaffolding being used now on the CMF work sites is made out of lumber.  Real scaffolding would be safer and more user friendly.

ADJOURNMENT:  Steve Johnson made a motion to adjourn and seconded by Ed Lykins.  A vote was taken and it carried.

CLOSING PRAYER:  Bill Kohus

 APRIL 2013 MEETING MINUTES

April 9th meeting at Macon Church of Christ

MEETING LEAD BY:  John Hendrix

OPENING PRAYER: by Mark St.Clair

SCRIPTURE READING:  Melissa Hendrix read John 14:1-6

ROLL CALL:   Carol Thatcher, Mark and Lisa St.Clair, John and Kathy Waits, Bill Kohus, John and Melissa Hendrix, Joe and Nancy Moore, Cheryl Jennings, Steve and Sue Johnson, Dennis Forsythe, Rodney Hoskins, Jason Moore, Nancy Mays, Donna Young, Jim and Kim Tutt, Karey Hall, Mr. and Mrs. John Shelton, Mr. and Mrs. Oma Baker, and Barbara Bourne.

SECRETARY REPORT:  The February report was read. Melissa Hendrix made a motion to accept the report as read.  Karey Hall seconded the motion.  A vote was taken and it carried.

TREASURE REPORT:  Steve Johnson reported the current Building Fund balance.

Approximately $24,500 is still needed to complete the buildings at Achin and Ennery, the planned 2014 work project.

Kathy Waits made a motion to accept the report as given and Dennis Forsythe seconded the motion.  A vote was taken and it carried

OLD AND UNFINISHED BUSINESS:  The estimated repair and replacement parts for the bus are approximately $3,000.  A motion was made by Lloyd Dunn to authorize the purchase of tires and parts needed and to start getting the bus ready to ship to Haiti.  The motion was seconded by Steve Johnson.  A vote was taken and it carried.

Discussion followed as to where the bus will be housed in Haiti and how much use would be allowed while the CMF members are not in Haiti. Another issue discussed was how soon the bus should be sent to the port in Miami, Florida, to be crated and ready to ship.  No decisions were made on any of these issues.

A change in the date for the 2014 trip was discussed. Melissa Hendrix brought up that going in January was not doable for her because of work scheduling and she really wanted to go. Discussion followed.  The rainy season is a major problem if the trip is pushed back till later in February.  No decision was made.

There were questions such as, “How much has already been spent at Ennery and how does this cost compare with the monies spent at Achin,” asked at last meeting. The building cost totals are not complete.  The amounts for labor is not available and will be better understood when Sainsurin sends his report of the monies paid to the Haitian laborers at each work site.

Fundraiser Committees need to be put into place soon.  The 5K Race has been chaired by Terry Parker in the past.  John Hendrix is to contact him about this event.  Steve Johnson is checking with the Old Timers Day Planning Committee about the changes in this year’s celebration. The event is normally the second weekend in September.  The yearly Yard Sale near Sardinia, Ohio, will again be chaired by Nancy Mays.  It will be in June this year. The Draft Horse Days at Glendale Park, October 4th—6th, in Fawcett, Ohio will need chairpersons in two areas.  They are: the food for the concession sales and the Sunday Church Service. Carol Thatcher will head the food sales and Jason Moore will check with the Mowrystown church to see if he could be free this Sunday to preach.

NEW BUSINESS:  The nomination committee, Steve and Sue Johnson and Cheryl Jennings, handed out the ballet for the election of officers and board members.  It was as following:  President – John Hendrix, Board Member – Mark StClair, Board Member – Bill Christman, and Vice President – Ed Lykins.   The ballets were counted and all votes were unanimous for all offices.

The display board was discussed. There is a need for a smaller one at some of the presentation sites.  Table space is not always available to accommodate the large board being used now.  Melissa Hendrix will continue to look for a more user friendly board.

Future work projects were discussed. Pray for the leading of the LORD and our willingness to step out on faith and follow his leading. Some of the church buildings needing repaired or replaced in the Gonaives area are challenging compared to what the CMF has done in the past. We must have the Lord’s guidance and blessing to do his work he sets before us. Please join us in prayer as CMF makes decisions concerning what work projects will be selected for 2015. The work site will need to be checked out while the work team is there in 2014.  This makes the planning stage less stressful when the work site has been personally visited by some of the work team.

NEW BUSINESS:  The fee needed for the use of the display area at Family Camp near Hillsboro, Ohio, was discussed. Steve Johnson, the Treasurer, is to pay the fee.

ADJOURNMENT:  Karey Hall made a motion to adjourn and seconded by Rodney Hoskins.  A vote was taken and it carried.

CLOSING PRAYER:  Lloyd Dunn

                                                          Secretary Report by Carol Thatcher

The May 14th meeting will be held at the West Union Church of Christ at 7:00 p.m. The church is located on Lloyd Road across from the West Union High School.  Anyone interested, feel free to attend.

The LORD has continually blessed the Christian Missionary Fellowship and its work.  We also pray for each one of you as you support this mission work by offering up prayers, giving encouragement, participating in our fundraisers, and financially supporting the Lord’s work at all levels.  God is so good to all.

Call John Hendrix at (937)544-2443, Ed Lykins at (937)763-9495, Steve Johnson at (937)386-3946, Carol Thatcher at (937)386-2444 if you have any questions about the CMF activities.  Continue to check the CMF website cmfellowship.com for the latest news.

The process of scheduling presentations at the supporting churches has started.  This is the best way for the CMF to stay accountable and also update everyone on the work projects and future plans.  CMF members are now contacting supporters to set up dates. Start checking your calendar to see what date works for you.

The bus fund is still growing, but it may take another $3,000 to pay for the port fees in Haiti. If the bus is not in Haiti when the work team arrives in January of 2014, the work at Ennery can not be safely or financially done. The team members must have the bus to stay in and work out of while there on the work site.  Make the bus a matter of prayer.

MARCH 2013 MEETING MINUTES

March 12th meeting at Mowrystown Church of Christ

MEETING LEAD BY:  John Hendrix

OPENING PRAYER: by Mark St.Clair

SCRIPTURE READING:  Jason Moore read Mathew 5:13-16.

ROLL CALL:   Carol Thatcher, Mark and Lisa St.Clair, John and Kathy Waits, Bill Kohus, John and Melissa Hendrix, Joe and Nancy Moore, Josh, Kristen, and Dawson Souder, Jessica Jodrey, Cheryl Jennings, Steve and Sue Johnson, Dennis Forsythe, Fred and Clarine Tracy, Rodney Hoskins, Jason Moore, Nancy Mays

SECRETARY REPORT:  The February report was not read aloud.  Everyone present had had the opportunity to read it ahead of time and the reading was waived.  Cheryl Jennings made a motion to accept the report as written.  Kathy Waits seconded the motion.  A vote was taken and it carried.

TREASURE REPORT:  Steve Johnson reported the current Building Fund balance.

Approximately $25,000 is still needed to complete the buildings at Achin and Ennery.

OLD AND UNFINISHED BUSINESS:  The church building walls and bond beam have been finished at Achin.  Monies were left with Sainsurin to pay for the labor to have this work completed using the same Haitian laborers who worked with the CMF work team in February.  The cost to pay for this labor was $250 higher than the planned estimated cost.

Building supplies have been delivered to the Ennery work site.  Sainsurin has calculated the labor to lay the block for the walls will be $4,700.  Monies will need to be sent to cover this cost.  After discussion by the members Lisa StClair made a motion to send the $250 to cover the Achin labor plus $2,500 for labor at Ennery to Sainsurin.  The motion also requires Sainsurin to supply the CMF with a specific list of workers and days needed per job and wages paid for each set job before more monies are sent. (Block layers are given wages different than the carpenter and laborer.) The motion was seconded by Cheryl Jennings. Vote was taken and it carried. This will help keep everyone accountable for the monies spent and what it is being spent for.

There were questions such as, “How much has already been spent at Ennery and how does this cost compare with the monies spent at Achin.”  The buildings are equal in size and should be comparable in cost.  These numbers are to be available at the April Meeting.

The CMF must be accountable with the LORD’s monies given to us to build a basic church build for worshiping our Lord in. We, in good faith, can not build ornate buildings to please the eyes and stand out in the communities.  The church families and their faith and service are what the LORD wants to stand out in the community not the buildings.

NEW BUSINESS:  The nomination committee, Steve and Sue Johnson and Cheryl Jennings, reported the ballet for the election in April will be as following:  President – John Hendrix, Board Member – Mark StClair, Board Member – Bill Christman, and Vice President – Ed Lykins.

The display board was discussed. There is a need for a smaller one at some of the presentation sites.  Table space is not always available to accommodate the large board being used now.

Future work projects were discussed. Pray for the leading of the LORD and our willingness to step out on faith and follow his leading. Some of the church buildings needing repaired or replaced are challenging to what we have done in the past.

ADJOURNMENT:  Melissa Hendrix made a motion to adjourn, seconded by Fred Tracy.  A vote was taken and it carried.

CLOSING PRAYER:  Fred Tracy

                                                          Secretary Report by Carol Thatcher

The April 9th meeting will be held at the Macon Church of Christ at 7:00 p.m. The church is located one block to the east off the main highway as you drive through Macon at 11838 Emmons Street.

Call John Hendrix at (937)544-2443, Steve Johnson at (937)386-3946, Carol Thatcher at (937)386-2444 if you have any questions about the CMF activities.  Continue to check the CMF website cmfellowship.com for the latest news.

The process of scheduling presentations at the supporting churches has started.  This is the best way for the CMF to update everyone on the work being done at the work projects.  This also gives the CMF a way to physically show how we are being accountable for the Building Fund account made up of monies from fundraisers, church and individual supporters, personal donations, and love offerings.  Contact one of the CMF members and set up a date that is good for your calendar.

The bus fund is still growing, but it may take another $3,000 to pay for the port fees in Haiti.  The Port Inspector charge a fee based on what he thinks the value of the bus and its contents are.  It is important to have the needed bus repairs and updates finished soon so shipping can begin.  If the bus is not in Haiti when the work team arrives in January of 2014, the work at Ennery can not be safely or financially done. The team members must have the bus to stay in and work out of while there on the work site.  Make this a matter of prayer.

FEBRUARY 2013 MEETING MINUTES

February 12th meeting at Peebles Church of Christ

OPENING PRAYER: by John Hendrix

SCRIPTURE READING:  Stephen Johnson read Hebrew 6:9-12.  Even though we speak like this, dear friends, we are confident of better things in your case—things that accompany salvation.  God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and have continued to help them.  We want each one of you to show this same diligence to the very end, in order to make your hope sure.  We do not want you to become lazy, imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised.

ROLL CALL:   Ed and Connie Lykins, Carol Thatcher, Mark and Lisa St.Clair, John and Kathy Waits, Bill Kohus, Lloyd and Pat Dunn,  John and Melissa Hendrix, Karey Hall, Joe and Nancy Moore, Josh Souder, Ronnie Anderson,  Cheryl Jennings, Bill Christman, Steve and Sue Johnson, Taylor Johnson and friend Adam

SECRETARY REPORT:  The January report was read by Carol Thatcher.  Melissa Hendrix made a motion to accept the report as read.  Josh Souder seconded the motion.  A vote was taken and it carried.

TREASURE REPORT:  Steve Johnson reported the current Building Fund balance is $31,636.41.  To finish the Achin and Ennery church buildings we worked on this past work trip, it will take another $42,000 to $44,000 to complete them based on the cost of building materials this past January.  We found block had gone up from $.50 to $.80 since the January 2012 trip as did most other building supplies.

To factor in the possible rise in the cost of building supplies it may take as much as another $25,000 plus what is in the Building Fund account to complete the buildings at Enery and Achin in 2014.  The goal set for the CMF to raise this year will be $50,000 more than what is in the account at this time.  If anyone would like to look at the CMF bank account feel free to contact any officer of the CMF at any time.

OLD AND UNFINISHED BUSINESS:  The 2013 Work Projects at Achin and Ennery and the 2014 work projects of finishing the church buildings were discussed.  The floor was opened up to the first time CMF work team members and then to anyone who wanted to share trip experiences.  Future building projects were shared.

NEW BUSINESS:  Ed Lykins read a letter of resignation of the office of President to the members.  He must focus on getting himself physically healthier.  John Hendrix, CMF Vice President, will perform the duties of President until the regular scheduled yearly election of officers in April.

A nomination committee was assigned: Steve and Sue Johnson and Cheryl Jennings.  The committee will present a voting ballet to the members at the March meeting.  The offices to be filled are: President, and 2 Board Members.  The vote will be taken at the April meeting. The terms of President Ed Lykins, Board member Bill Christman, and Board member Mark St.Clair are expiring this election cycle. The office of Vice President will need to be filled also if John Hendrix continues to fill the office of President.

The display board will need to be updated with current project photos. Plans are to use Matthew 25:40 as the key scripture. The presentation message based on this scripture will take some revising also.

Contact one of the CMF members and set up a date that is good for your calendar. As of now there are two dates filled, Macon Church of Christ on March 17th and Peebles on March 24th.

Monies for gasoline will be given to the churches that provided vans to transport the work team to and from the Greater Cincinnati Airport.

ADJOURNMENT:  Lisa StClair made a motion to adjourn, seconded by Ed Lykins.  A vote was taken and it carried.

CLOSING PRAYER:  Bill Christman read scripture from Acts and then prayed.

                                                          Secretary Report by Carol Thatcher

The March 12th meeting will be held at the Mowrystown Church of Christ at 7:00 p.m.  Anyone interested, feel free to attend.

Continue to check the CMF website cmfellowship.com for the latest news and pictures of the 2013 work trip to see what was accomplished in the 12 work days.  We were able to worship two Sundays with our Haitian brother and sister believers. The second Sunday over 2,000 people attended the worship service, what an awesome blessing.  Even though we do not understand the spoken language, we do understand their rejoicing of our LORD and SAVIOR that comes straight from their hearts.

As you read in the minutes the process of scheduling presentations at the supporting churches has started.
